NOMAS Symposium 2015: “Breaking the Glass Ceiling” is geared towards:

ORGANIZING networking opportunities for students and professionals.

CREATING a community that promotes the idea that: "The fight for equality in the workplace and in a school environment is a collective effort that involves EVERYONE.....even those who do not identify as a minority."

BRINGING awareness of people who have succeeded within the field of architecture despite disadvantages they may have incurred due to their race, gender, disabilty, sexual orientation, and others of marginalized identities.

DESIGNING a program that fosters future leaders to:

Make the right decisions,

Develop analytical skills when addressing issues of qualifications,

Accept defeat as a form of encouragement,

Seek out mentors

Become mentors themselves.
